Rhufus Gamgee
This was a carving that won me second place for Carver's with less than 1 year exp. I won a beautiful Helvie Knife. Here is the backstory I gave the carving: Let me introduce to you a character that J.R.R. Tolkien never did. Rufus Gamgee the Hobbit who became the Court Jester to the mighty Orc King. Rufus was the twin brother of Sam Gamgee from the Lord of the Rings fame, however, Rufus was abducted by Orc Pirates when he was only 6 years old. He was enslaved by the Orcs and lived many years in the dungeon of the Orc King. One day the Orc King ordered Rufus to stop frowning but poor Rufus could not. He missed the Shire so much. So the Orc king ordered his surgeons to make it so Rufus would smile all the time. They stitched him all up and the Orc King was very happy with the result and made Rufus the official Court Jester.
